Alexander D. Whittemore

Alex joined Summit Partners in 2007. He is responsible for leading the firm’s capital markets activities, both for existing portfolio companies and for new acquisitions, and for helping the firm manage its commercial and investment banking relationships. In addition, Alex is a cofounder of Summit Partners Credit Advisors.

Prior to Summit, Alex worked for Morgan Stanley, where he founded the Boston office of the Financial Sponsors Group. He was also previously employed by Chase Manhattan Corporation and Chemical Banking Corporation.

Alex holds a BA in history, cum laude, from Carleton College and an MBA from Darden School at the University of Virginia.
