Monalisa began their career in 2006 as a Senior Financial Services Consultant at AIA Singapore. In 2017, they joined Summit Planners Pte Ltd as a Vice President, specializing in estate planning. Monalisa then moved on to Manulife Financial Advisers Pte Ltd, where they held the positions of Senior Director, Financial Services and Assistant Vice President. During their time at Manulife, they provided comprehensive financial planning services and received prestigious awards, such as Court of Table and Million Dollar Table.

Monalisa's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they pursued further education by obtaining certifications such as the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) degree from the Singapore College of Insurance, specializing in the field of insurance from 2020 to 2023. Monalisa also completed the Certified HNW Advisor program from Kaplan Professional in 2021 to 2022.

In terms of additional certifications, Monalisa obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the Singapore College of Insurance in September 2023. Monalisa also acquired the Enneagram certification from Relationship Studio in April 2023 and the Certified HNW Advisor designation from the Insurance and Financial Practitioners Association of Singapore (IFPAS) in May 2022. Monalisa holds certifications in various other areas, including Family Office Essentials for Private Bankers from Singapore Management University in December 2021, Licensed Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming from NLP Life Ltd in May 2017, Singapore Trust and Estate Planning from CLT International in June 2016, and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People from FranklinCovey in February 2011.
