Special Education Teacher at Summit School

Mary Grace (MG) S. is an experienced educator currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Summit School since July 2023 and a History Teacher for over four years at Fairfax County Public Schools. MG has taught a diverse range of students, including more than 130 7th graders in U.S. history and previously served as a long-term substitute teacher at Liberty Middle School. Additional teaching experience includes working as an English Teaching Assistant with the Fulbright Association in Thailand, where MG developed curriculum and engaged over 500 students in language learning. MG has also contributed to various educational initiatives, including serving as a tutor at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, co-founding Converge UVA, and holding leadership positions on equity and inclusion dialogues at the University of Virginia. MG holds a Master of Education from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, where academic achievements include graduating with high distinction.
