Benny Soto

Benny Soto has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Their most recent position is at Summit K12, where they serve as the Director of School Partnerships. In this role, they focus on providing tailored learning solutions to students and supporting teachers in their instructional journey.

Previously, Benny worked at Age of Learning as a Bilingual Customer Success Manager, catering to school districts in Texas. Their main objective was to accelerate learning and bridge equity gaps through the use of adaptive educational applications.

Prior to that, Benny was employed at Houston ISD, where they held multiple roles. Benny served as an Hourly Principal in the Office of School Support, overlooking high schools. Benny also worked as a School Principal, Director of Schools in the East Area, and as an interim Principal. In these positions, Benny focused on maximizing efficiency and effectiveness to enhance student learning potential and foster excellence.

Before joining Houston ISD, Benny had various educational roles, including Assistant Principal, Digital Learning Specialist, Campus Instructional Technologist, and Science Composite Teacher.

Throughout their career, Benny has consistently demonstrated their commitment to improving education and supporting student success.

Benny Soto obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Houston, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas, completing their studies between 2014 and 2015. Additionally, Benny Soto has obtained a Rice Business Executive Education Certificate from Rice University in June 2020. Benny also holds a Principal Certification from SBEC in Texas, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
