Lam Nguyen

Lam Nguyen's work experience includes working at Walmart as a Full Stack Developer from August 2018 to February 2023. In this role, Lam developed web and backend applications to assist associates with their planogram life cycle data. Lam used Angular 2 to Angular 11 in designing and developing modern Single Page Applications and reusable directives. They also built data layer Nuget packages for other .Net applications, constructed controllers for web services using the MVC framework, and integrated APIs tools. Lam also maintained data accessibility in Oracle and Azure databases, migrated and updated existing tools for associates, and identified root causes of production issues.

Prior to Walmart, Lam worked at Cigna Insurance Services as a Full Stack Developer from May 2017 to July 2018. In this role, Lam built a prototype for an employer info management portal, replacing an old portal using an old tech stack. They implemented a single app web page with a quick and responsive UI, extensive client-side validation, and a dynamic and responsive display for user inputs. Lam also migrated the web API from MVC ASP.NET to NodeJS, created maintainable RESTful API services using NodeJS and Express, and deployed services on AWS. They incorporated custom logic for user directives and managed project dependencies while utilizing Bootstrap, jQuery, and HTML.

Lam Nguyen is currently enrolled at Truman State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
