Marissa Schmidt

Marissa Schmidt has a diverse work experience in graphic design and illustration. Marissa is currently working as a Graphic Designer (Mid-Level) at Sun Bum since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Pitch Deck Designer from November 2020 until the present, focusing on entertainment pitch deck design for TV/film. Marissa also served as the Owner/Designer of their own custom portrait business since February 2015. Marissa has also worked as a Marketing Artist (temporary/contract) at Glu Mobile from November 2019 to April 2020, creating marketing illustrations for the mobile game Diner Dash Adventures. Marissa worked as a Visual Graphic Illustrator at Macy's from March 2018 to May 2019, developing innovative fixtures and visual displays. Additionally, they worked as a Design Associate (temporary/contract) at Minted from October 2017 to February 2018, creating custom luxury artwork and photo retouching. Prior to that, Marissa worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Victoria's Secret in 2017, where they created concepts and designs for various campaigns. Marissa also worked as a Creative Services Illustrator at Victoria's Secret from July 2013 to March 2017, producing seasonal displays and collaborating with different departments for design projects.

Marissa Schmidt attended Columbus College of Art & Design from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. During their time at the college, they focused their studies on illustration, design history, creative writing, and copywriting.
