Nicole Eichelman has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Nicole started their career in 2019 as a Partnerships Intern at PlanA.Earth GmbH, where they assisted with CSR research and drafted sustainable company partnerships. In the same year, they also worked as a Sustainability Research Intern at Living Coast Discovery Center, where they helped create compost training courses and conducted research on biodegradable materials for their senior capstone project.
In 2019, Nicole took on the role of an Oceanography Research Assistant at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. During their time there, they participated in a research cruise where they deployed ocean multicore samples to test for foraminifera and plastic fiber abundance.
In 2020, Nicole joined Flatiron Construction as an Environmental Compliance Intern. Nicole then progressed to the role of an Environmental Compliance Specialist, where they inspected and reported on urban construction projects in San Diego, with a focus on stormwater pollution prevention and sediment and erosion control. Nicole also served as a Sustainability Coordinator, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Most recently, Nicole joined Sun Bum in 2022 as a Creative Services Manager. Nicole'sresponsibilities in this role are not specified, as it is an ongoing position. Overall, Nicole has demonstrated a passion for sustainability and environmental compliance throughout their work experience.
Nicole Eichelman pursued their Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Ocean Sciences from the University of San Diego from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, they also participated in a program by CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange, specializing in Sustainability Studies. Apart from their formal education, Nicole obtained several certifications related to their field of study. In November 2020, they completed the 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification from the National Environmental Trainers, Inc. Additionally, in December 2020, they received the CISEC IT (In-Training) certification from the International Erosion Control Association. In October 2020, Nicole acquired the California Title 22 Hazardous Waste Generator Training #1398 from HazMat School - Online Safety Training. Furthermore, in October 2020, they also obtained the Environmental Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
