Ryan Abbott

Ryan Abbott has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Ryan currently serves as the Head of Treasury at Sun Cable since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Boral as the Group Treasurer from 2015 to 2022. Boral was an international building products and construction materials group. Before joining Boral, Ryan Abbott held the role of Group Treasurer at UGL Limited, an engineering services and real estate management company, from 2011 to 2015. Ryan also served as the Group Treasurer at DTZ from 2011 to 2014, before DTZ was acquired by a private equity consortium. Ryan Abbott started their career at Crane Group Limited as the Group Treasurer from 2002 to 2011. Ryan began their professional journey as an Assistant Manager at KPMG Audit from 1995 to 2001.

Ryan Abbott has a strong educational history. Ryan completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics (Accounting) from the University of Sydney between 1992 and 1995. In 1997, they pursued further education and obtained a CA (Chartered Accountant) degree from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, completing their studies in 1999. Later on, Abbott went on to pursue a Masters degree in Applied Finance at Macquarie University between 2003 and 2006. These educational experiences have equipped Abbott with a solid foundation in economics, accounting, and finance.
