April Hammer

April Hammer has over 25 years of work experience in the human resources field. April currently serves as the Assistant VP of Human Resources & Organizational Development at Sun Federal Credit Union, where they oversee leadership development, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational design. In this role, they implement people-centric management processes and practices to keep the company culturally grounded and provides business management support and strategy input. Prior to this, April held the positions of Director of Human Resources and HR Manager/Employee Relations Manager at Sun Federal Credit Union. April started their career as a Human Resource Assistant at the same organization. Before joining Sun Federal, April worked as a Senior Teller at Glass City Federal Credit Union.

April Hammer earned their high school diploma in 1990 from Woodmore High School, where they studied college preparation. After completing their high school education, they attended Bowling Green State University from 1990 to 1995. During their time at the university, April earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Human Resource Management.
