Saran Forbes

Saran Forbes, MBA, CAMS, currently serves as the Director of Wealth Oversight Programs at Sun Life, managing a team of 25 individuals and enhancing supervision policies and procedures. Prior experience includes roles such as Chair of the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Committee at CIRO/OCRI, where leadership and strategic direction were provided, and Senior Business Conduct Compliance Examiner, leading examination teams. Saran also held the position of Deputy Compliance Officer at Extiber Ltd., overseeing compliance operations, and served as Investigations Assistant at IIROC, performing analyses and supporting senior investigators. Earlier positions include Research Analyst at RBC Investor & Treasury Services and Trading/Middle Office Administrator at The Citco Group Limited, complemented by a Credit Investigator role at Quality Credit Reporting. Saran holds an MBA from Bangor University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration from Trent University.
