Bhupendra Vashishta

Bhupendra Vashishta serves as General Manager of Technology Development at SUN PHARMA since April 2018 and has been with Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd since July 2004, progressing from DGM of Technology Development in API Research. With extensive expertise in the development and scale-up of APIs and injectables, Bhupendra has effectively managed over 40 commercial-scale molecules for regulated markets including the EU, US, and Japan. Bhupendra holds multiple technological patents and has numerous international publications, specializing in sterile carbapenems, prazoles, statins, and HPAPI molecules. Responsibilities include leading advanced process engineering and safety labs, driving novel continuous process technologies, implementing Quality by Design (QbD) concepts, and overseeing manufacturing facility evaluations. Bhupendra earned an Engineer’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology from 1997 to 2001.
