Shawn Reilly has extensive work experience in the transportation industry. From 1997 to 2013, they worked at Transfreight as the Manager of Corporate Safety and Risk, where they oversaw transportation safety and security programs and ensured regulatory compliance in multiple regions. In 2013, they joined RST Sunbury Transport as the Director of Health Safety Security Environment and Risk Prevention. In this role, they were responsible for reporting program results, governance concerns, and safety performance as a member of the senior leadership team.
Shawn Reilly's education history begins in 2006 when they attended Conestoga College and obtained a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, specializing in Occupational Safety and Health Technology/Technician. In 2007, they obtained the certification of Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. In 2017, Shawn enrolled at the University of New Brunswick and studied Occupational Health and Safety until 2019. During the same year, they attended The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University to upgrade their BCRSP qualifications in OHS Leadership. Additionally, in 2004, Shawn obtained the Certified Designated Employer Representative (CDER) certification from the Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association (SAPAA).
