Isabelle Varney has over 17 years of experience in the maintenance and reliability sector, currently serving as the General Manager of Maintenance at Suncor's Fort Hills operation since June 2011. Isabelle's progressive career at Suncor includes key roles such as General Manager of Maintenance & Reliability for Base Plant Upgrading, Director of Maintenance & Reliability for Energy & Utilities, and various managerial positions focused on optimization and project management. Prior experience includes a role as Maintenance Engineer at Teck Resources Limited from 2006 to 2011. Isabelle holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and a Diplôme d'études collégiales in Pure and Applied Sciences from Cegep de La Pocatiere.
