Judith Sparkes

Judith Sparkes is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in leadership roles at Suncor Energy since September 2003, currently serving as Vice President and General Manager of Communications. With a focus on corporate reputation and media relations, Judith has provided oversight and direction for various communication teams and activities, ensuring alignment with Suncor’s brand and culture. Previous roles include Director positions in Business Partners, Oil Sands Ventures, and Employee & Corporate Services Communications, as well as participation in the Suncor/Petro-Canada merger team. Judith's career also includes notable positions at the City of Calgary and Calgary Public Library. Judith holds an MBA in Leadership from Royal Roads University and a BA in Communications from the University of Calgary, supplemented by certifications in Public Participation and coaching. Additionally, Judith contributes as an instructor for the Public Relations Certificate Program at Mount Royal University.
