Theresa Shiels

Theresa Shiels possesses extensive experience in the insurance sector, currently serving as CFO Insurance Australia at Suncorp Group since June 2012. Additional roles at Suncorp include Head of Risk and Operational Excellence for Commercial Insurance, Head of Performance Management & Reporting, and Head of Finance - Insurance, with a focus on products such as Home, Motor, Commercial, CTP, WC, and Life. Prior to Suncorp, Theresa worked at Irish Life & Permanent from September 2008 to April 2012 in various actuarial roles, including Actuary - Systems Actuarial and Actuary - Product Pricing, where significant contributions were made to data integrity projects and product development. Theresa holds the designation of Fellow from the Institute of Actuaries and a Bachelor of Actuarial and Financial Studies from University College Dublin.
