Trista Schroeder

Trista Schroeder serves as General Counsel at Sundance Institute since September 2020, previously held the position of Senior Advisor at Hollywood Commission from December 2018 to September 2020, and acted as Interim Executive Director for the same organization from March 2018 to September 2020. Trista has extensive experience in the sports and entertainment sectors, having worked as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at Wasserman Media Group from 2007 to 2016, where responsibilities included establishing the Legal Department and advising senior executives. Prior legal experience includes serving as an Associate at Proskauer Rose LLP, supporting litigation and corporate governance, and as a Law Clerk to The Honorable George H. King in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Early career roles include research positions at CHARLIE ROSE, PBS, and Morgan Stanley. Trista holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity Washington University.
