Lais Pinto Cué

Lais Pinto Cué has a long and varied work experience. In 2008, they were an Intern at the Laboratório de Controle e Conversão da Energia (LCCE), where they developed a project of a 10kW Axial Flux Wind Generator with Permanent Magnets, researched electrical machine prototypes, and implemented an electromagnetic model on Matlab for small wind turbines. In 2010, they were an Intern at CEMIG, where they provided technical solutions and cost estimation to substations and transmission lines projects, and improved existing costs and estimations database, based on new contracts signed with suppliers. In 2011, they were a Consultant Intern at NOE - Novas Opções Energéticas, where they oversaw land prospecting, engineering, permitting and decisions for ~8 windfarm implementing projects, reviewed legal documents, met with stakeholders, and secured contracts and permits. Lais also negotiated with potential investors and power purchasers. In the same year, they were a Manager and Engineer at Neoenergia, where they led a team of 19 people, including 4 off-site personnel, oversaw supervisors, engineers, and specialists responsible for supporting operations, and was on-call 24/7 from 2015 until 2017. Lais also prepared review specifications, operational checkouts and other verifications of newly acquired equipment to make recommendations concerning equipment acceptability, and developed automation and control systems for powers substations. In 2018, they were an MBA Pathways Intern at Amazon, and in 2019, they were a Pathways Operations Manager at the same company. Currently, they are a PV Operations Manager at Sunhero, a position they have held since 2022.

Lais Pinto Cué has a diverse educational background. In 2022-2023, they pursued a Master's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management through MITx Courses. From 2017-2019, they obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from IESE Business School. From 2012-2014, they completed a Specialization program - MBA in Project Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Additionally, they graduated in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2011. Lais also holds several certifications, including A4 - Introdução a Norma IEC 61850 from SEL Brasil in 2014, A5 - Prático com a Norma IEC 61850 from SEL Brasil in 2014, Norma IEC 61850 no SAGE from CEPEL in 2014, P3 – Introdução a Proteção de Sistemas Elétricos from SEL Brasil in 2013, and Treinamento sobre sistema automatizado de teste de proteção OMICRON TEST UNIVERSE – Teoria e Prática from OMICRON electronics in 2012.
