Bret Baker

Bret Baker has extensive experience in supply chain management and logistics. Bret is currently working as a Senior Supply Chain Manager at Sunny Sky Products since April 2022. Prior to that, Bret worked at Dickson Furniture Manufacturers for eight years, starting in 2014, where they served as the Vice President of Logistics. In this role, they managed customer service, warehousing, and logistics, including large installations, trucking, and automation of shipping. Bret also developed and implemented IT changes to improve shipment planning and execution processes. Before that, Bret worked at RR Donnelley for 15 years, from 1999 to 2014, as the Director of North America Supply Chain in the Supply Chain Solutions Division. Bret was responsible for customer service, planning, inventory control, production control, and purchasing. Bret was heavily involved in consultative selling, designing, marketing, and deploying customized light manufacturing supply chain models. Additionally, they recruited and trained teams of master planners, schedulers, document and inventory controllers in the US and Mexico. Bret's earlier work experience includes a role as Materials Manager at PE Biosystems from 1989 to 1999, where they achieved significant cost savings and improved supplier on-time delivery. Bret Baker holds a Master of Science degree in Procurement & Contract Management from Saint Mary's College of California, which was completed in 1987. Prior to that, Bret attended Westmont College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Business. Bret has also obtained additional certifications including Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the National Association of Purchasing Managers, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the AMERICAN PRODUCTION & INVENTORY CONTROL SOCIETY, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Robbins International.
