Matthew Rezkalla

Matthew Rezkalla is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Sunnybrook, where responsibilities include co-leading the development of an automated classification pipeline for medical images and managing a SQL database with over 2000 confidential medical image data points. Previously, Matthew served as Co-Chair of the Queen's Cerebral Language Innovation Team, overseeing the Artificial Intelligence team, and as a Machine Learning Engineer researching brain-computer interface technology and publishing findings related to EEG signal identification. Matthew also worked as a Quantitative Developer at QUANTT, developing trading algorithms and competing successfully in an algorithmic trading competition. Earlier experiences include a role as a Data Engineer at Sunnybrook focused on automating bibliometric analysis, as well as a Crew Trainer and Production Crew member at McDonald's. Matthew holds a Certificate of Data Analytics and a Bachelor of Computing (Honours) with a major in Artificial Intelligence and a minor in Philosophy from Queen's University.
