Annie Shaffer

Annie Shaffer has over 20 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Annie worked as a Health Educator and Registered Nurse at Augusta Health from 1996 to 1999, where they planned and implemented wellness programs and presentations. Additionally, they performed various occupational health duties. From 1998 to 2000, Annie worked as a Registered Nurse at Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents. Annie then joined Sunnyside Communities in 2000 as a Wellness Director. In this role, they managed the Wellness Center and implemented group exercise classes. Annie also ensured the supervision and maintenance of exercise equipment and pool/spa equipment.

Annie Shaffer has a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Wellness Education, which they obtained from Florida Atlantic University in 1995. Annie also pursued a field of study in Gerontology at James Madison University and received a Certificate in Gerontology in 2009. In 2007, Annie obtained a Certification as a Certified Aging Services Professional from the University of North Texas. Additionally, they hold certifications including Nursing Home Administrator, Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor, Health Fitness Specialist, Aquatic Fitness Professional, and Registered Nurse with Multi-State Privilege.
