Christian Reyes

Christian Reyes is a dedicated educator with a strong background in elementary education, currently serving as a 5th Grade Teacher at Sunnyvale School District since June 2021. In this leadership role, Christian focuses on supporting English Learners by implementing research-based instructional strategies aligned with district literacy and math frameworks. Prior experience includes student teaching at Don Callejon K-8th Public School and Laurelwood Elementary, where Christian honed skills in lesson planning and classroom instruction. Additionally, Christian's role as a Teacher Assistant involved facilitating STEAM projects and engaging students in discussions. An early commitment to education was demonstrated through participation in the Jumpstart program, which emphasized lesson planning and classroom activities for preschoolers. Christian holds a Master’s degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University.
