Christopher Liao

Christopher Liao is a highly experienced professional in food safety and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Manager of Aseptic Compliance & Validation at SunOpta since June 2020. In this role, Christopher leads a team focused on engineering and food safety compliance, thermal process design for low acid and acidified foods, and regulatory oversight including FDA/CDPH filings. Prior to this, Christopher held various positions at Eurofins, where responsibilities included microbiological validation and process recommendations for aseptic systems, and at Albertsons Companies and Mi Rancho, focusing on the commercialization of food products. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Food Process Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology with a concentration in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis.
