Peter Colaninno Ms, Mtsm, Cls (ASCP NCA)

Peter Colaninno has a diverse work experience in the field of laboratory operations and education. Peter currently works as the Director of Laboratory Operations at Sunrise Medical Laboratories, where they oversee the overall functions of the laboratory. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Microbiology & Molecular Biology at the same company.

Before joining Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Peter worked at ICON Central Laboratories, where they had multiple roles and responsibilities. Peter served as the Sr. Director of Infectious Diseases and Protocol Review, Safety Officer, and Educational Coordinator. In this position, they managed the daily operations of the Infectious Disease department and worked closely with other laboratory divisions. Peter also reviewed and assessed incoming protocols.

Peter also has experience in academia. Peter worked as an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University, Farmingdale State University of New York, St. John's University, and Queensborough Community College. In these roles, they imparted their knowledge and expertise to students in the field of laboratory sciences.

Prior to their work at ICON Central Laboratories, Peter served as the Director of the Infectious Disease Laboratory at ICON Laboratories. Peter was responsible for overseeing the operations of the laboratory.

Peter Colaninno began their career at Catholic Medical Center, where they worked as the Supervisor of Clinical Microbiology for over 17 years.

Peter Colaninno earned their Diploma from Msgr. McClancy Memorial High School in 1975. Peter then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from St. John's University, which they completed in 1980. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Medical Technology from St. John's University, which they achieved in 1991.
