Michelle Lucey, M.A., SPHR has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Michelle currently holds the position of Chief People Officer at Sunrise Management since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Human Resources at Excel Hotel Group from September 2019 to June 2022, where they played a crucial role in transforming and elevating the HR department for the organization. Michelle has also worked as the Director of Human Resources at Omni Hotels & Resorts from March 2016 to August 2019. Furthermore, they have served as an Adjunct Professor at UC San Diego Extension from May 2009 to May 2016, where they mentored HR professionals and provided guidance to students. Previously, Michelle worked at Hilton Worldwide as the Complex Director of Human Resources and later as the Director of Human Resources at Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from San Diego State University. Additionally, Michelle has taken courses at UC San Diego Extended Studies, though the degree obtained from this institution is undisclosed.
