Teen Yen Lee

Teen Yen Lee has an extensive work experience spanning several industries. In 1994, Lee began their career as a client executive at Burson-Marsteller, where they worked in various practices including corporate, financial, and technology communication. After six years, Lee joined Scient Corp as a Senior Associate in brand communications. In 2003, they started their own consulting business, Contracts and Retainers, where they worked as a Communications Consultant, Trainer-Facilitator, and GIA-Certified Gemologist for clients such as RSA Group and Jaakyo Poyry JP Consulting. Lee then joined Sembcorp Industries Ltd in 2019 as the Vice President of Group Strategic Communications & Sustainability, where they managed external and sustainability communications for the company's businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia markets. They were also involved in leadership positioning, media relations, crisis communications management, and received recognition for their work in sustainability. In 2021, Lee joined EDP Renewables APAC, first as the Head of Brand & Culture, and later transitioning into the role of Head of Brand, Communications, and Sustainability. Overall, Lee has a broad range of experience in brand communications, sustainability, and strategic communications across different sectors.

Teen Yen Lee holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. In 2003, Teen Yen Lee graduated from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) with a degree in Gemology. In 2015, they completed an Advanced Certificate in Training and Facilitation (ACTA) from the Institute of Adult Learning (IAL) in Singapore. Additionally, Teen Yen Lee has obtained several certifications, including Inner Retreat: Breathwork & Pranayama Intensive, Yoga Nidra Sleep Therapy Consulting 100 Hrs, Yoga Teacher Training RYT 200, and Certificate of Completion - Search Inside Yourself. They also hold an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) from the Singapore Workforce Development Agency. Lastly, they have a certification as a Graduate Gemologist from GIA.
