Elliott Simmons

Elliott Simmons is a seasoned professional in geospatial intelligence and emergency management, currently serving as a Senior GIS Advisor at Sunwater since July 2022, where involvement includes water supply management across Queensland. Previously, Elliott held the position of Spatial Modelling Manager at WaterNSW from February 2020 to July 2022, focusing on water supply security and overseeing essential infrastructure. As National Co-Chair of the Emergency Management Spatial Information Network Australia (2018 - January 2020), Elliott contributed to enhancing spatial information technologies for decision-making in emergency management. Elliott's extensive background includes roles at the NSW State Emergency Service, managing geospatial operations and hazard planning from 2004 to January 2020, and leading various initiatives in emergency risk management. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography from the University of Sydney, a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from RMIT University, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management from the Australian Institute of Police Management.
