Anwesha Sarkar

Anwesha Sarkar, PhD, is currently a Regulatory & Research Compliance Analyst at the University at Albany, SUNY, since July 2022. Prior to this role, Anwesha served as a Teaching Assistant, Graduate Student, and Research Assistant in the Biological Sciences department at the same institution from August 2017 to May 2022, where projects included exploring the tRNA epitranscriptome under Arsenic stress and mentoring undergraduate students. Anwesha also held the position of Judicial Board Chair for the Graduate Student Association at SUNY, UAlbany, mediating disputes within the organization. From July 2014 to July 2017, Anwesha was a Research Scholar at the University of Calcutta, focusing on protein-DNA interactions using molecular dynamics and modeling. Anwesha earned a PhD in Biology from the University at Albany (2017-2022), an MSc in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University (2012-2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Physics, and Chemistry from Lady Brabourne College (2009-2012).
