Michael Smith

Michael Smith is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in managed threat operations and security services. Currently serving as a Senior Director of Managed Threat Operations at Accenture Security since May 2020, Michael previously held various leadership positions at Symantec, including Director of Managed Security Services and Lead Technical Architect. Michael's expertise encompasses designing and operating security operations for government clients and providing advanced technology direction within the Cyber Readiness and Response group. Additionally, Michael contributes to academia as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Digital Forensics at the University at Albany, SUNY. Michael holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia from James Madison University.
