Sarah Pickett, PhD, currently serves as the Interim Assistant Dean for the Learning Commons and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University at Albany starting in January 2024. Prior to this role, Sarah held the position of Associate Director of Faculty and Lecturer Programs at Stanford University's Center for Teaching and Learning from July 2022 to December 2023. Additionally, Sarah worked as a Senior Consultant at the University of California, Berkeley's Center for Teaching and Learning from September 2019 to July 2022, and was a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at San Francisco State University's SEPAL from August 2018 to December 2019. Sarah completed a Predoctoral Research Associate role in Neuroscience at the University of Washington from June 2013 to August 2018, alongside several teaching roles. Earlier experience includes positions at Rockefeller University and New York University, as well as laboratory work at Dartmouth College. Sarah holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Anthropology from New York University.
