Colleen Skull

Assistant Professor at SUNY Potsdam

Colleen Skull has had several positions in academia. In 2012, they worked at the University of Toronto as a Course Instructor, where they developed and created course curriculum for Music Education and Comprehensive Music General Majors. This course focused on song interpretation and building knowledge of repertoire from various periods. In 2014, they became an Assistant Professor at Mount Allison University, and in 2015, they took on the same role at SUNY Potsdam.

Colleen Skull's education history shows a progression through various academic degrees and fields of study. Starting in 1994, they attended the University of Manitoba, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Music, completing their studies in 1998. Following this, from 1998 to 2000, they enrolled in the University of Toronto and obtained an Opera Performance Diploma. In 2000, continuing their education at the University of Toronto, they obtained a Masters in Music with a specialization in Vocal Performance, which they completed in 2002. Lastly, from 2008 to 2013, they pursued their highest level of education, a DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts), again at the University of Toronto, focusing on the field of Music.
