Heather Wilson

Adjunct Professor at SUNY Potsdam

Heather Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Heather served as the President of the Cranberry Lake Mountaineers Snowmobile Club in 2019 and was an Instructor for the Impaired Driver Program at Special Programs St Lawrence County since 2017. Prior to that, they were an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Potsdam starting from 2014. Heather Wilson also worked as an AEMT-CC at the Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad since 1995. Heather spent a significant part of their career at Potsdam CSD, where they retired as a Health Teacher in 2017 after being in that role since 2003. Additionally, they worked as a Driver Education Instructor at St Lawrence Lewis BOCES from 2013 to 2014. Heather Wilson began their teaching career as a Health Teacher at Gouverneur CSD from 1986 to 2003. Heather also briefly worked as a Driver Education Teacher at West Genesee School District in 1985.

Heather Wilson attended Marcellus High School from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a NY Regents Diploma with a field of study in Science and Math. After completing high school, they went on to study at the State University of New York Cortland from 1980 to 1990. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science in Education (MS Ed) with a field of study in Health Education. Additionally, Wilson has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including "PredictionX: John Snow and the Cholera Outbreak of 1854" from HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX in August 2019, NYS K-12 Health Teacher certification from NYSED in September 1990, and a Driver Education Instructor certification from NYSED in January 1985.
