Jill Rubio

Adjunct Professor Flute at SUNY Potsdam

Jill Rubio has a wealth of experience in the music industry. Jill began their career in 1978 as a self-employed flutist and private flute studio owner. Jill then went on to work as a Music Teacher for SUNY Potsdam and Potsdam Central Schools in 2001. In 2008, they became an Adjunct Professor of Flute at The Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam. More recently, in 2010, they served as the Personnel Manager for the Orchestra of Northern New York. Through their various roles, Jill has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in flute performance, teaching, and music management.

Jill Rubio holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Southern California, which they completed between 1979 and 1986. Additionally, they earned a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the same university during the same time period. Prior to their studies at USC, Jill achieved a NYS K-12 Music Certification in Music Education at the State University of New York College at Potsdam between 1997 and 1999.
