Alana Kosches

Alana Kosches is a medical student at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, expected to graduate with a Doctor of Medicine degree in May 2026. Previous experience includes serving as a researcher at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine, where collaboration with Internal Medicine residents Ricardo Criado, MD and Mary Parianos, MD occurred. Alana also worked as a medical scribe with ScribeAmerica, documenting outpatient visits at Holy Cross Health, and contributed as a research assistant at Florida Atlantic University, leading to co-authorship of a published article on COVID-19's impact on advance directive completion. Additional achievements include facilitating study groups at Northwestern University and presenting research on stress and asthma in children at an international conference. Alana graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Northwestern University, complemented by a minor in Psychology and a pre-medical track, after completing high school at Pine Crest School.
