Edward Chapnick

Edward Chapnick is a distinguished medical professional with extensive experience in infectious diseases. Currently serving as a Professor of Clinical Medicine at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine since July 2018, Edward has also held the position of Director of the Infectious Diseases Division at Maimonides Medical Center since 1997. Prior roles at Maimonides Medical Center include Fellow in Infectious Diseases from July 1991 to June 1993 and Chief Medical Resident from July 1988 to June 1989. Edward Chapnick earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University between 1981 and 1985 and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University from 1977 to 1981, following an academic foundation established at Stuyvesant High School from 1973 to 1977.
