Zhenyu Zhou

Zhenyu Zhou is a seasoned academic and healthcare professional with extensive experience in neurobiology and traditional Chinese medicine. Currently serving as faculty at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhenyu Zhou also works as a licensed acupuncturist and nerve conduction technologist at Naturo Medical Health Care, P.C. A former senior research associate at Weill Cornell Medical College, Zhenyu Zhou has led significant research projects investigating the effects of anesthetics on neuronal functions and the role of VGLUT3 in serotonin neurons. Previous research roles include positions at Columbia University, New York Medical College, and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where Zhenyu Zhou contributed to advancements in understanding neurotransmitter mechanisms and cellular processes related to learning and memory.
