Erkka Saario

Erkka Saario is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Vice President of Large Infrastructure Projects at Gasgrid since June 2024. In addition to this role, Erkka is a Board Member of the Finnish Wind Power Association since April 2022 and the Founder of European Energy Partners Oy since March 2018. Previously, Erkka held various positions at Ilmatar, including VP of Projects, CEO, and Head of Project Development, where responsibilities included leading a diverse portfolio of wind power projects. Other notable roles include Project Development Manager at Ilmatar and project management positions at Novox Oy and WinWinD Oy. Erkka holds a Master of Science in Energy from LUT University and has experience as an Erasmus exchange student at RWTH Aachen University.
