Joakim Isaksson has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Joakim currently works as a Game Programmer at Supercell since 2022. Prior to this, they spent five years at Futureplay Games as a Game Programmer, where they worked on real-time multiplayer games for mobile. At Futureplay Games, they were responsible for gameplay, simulation, and networking. Before that, Joakim worked at UL Benchmarks as a Software Engineer, where they developed a latency test for VRMark and worked on desktop and mobile clients for 3DMark. Joakim also has experience as a Game Programmer at Air Dice Games, where they developed server-side game logic and managed server deployments for online casino games. Joakim also has a background as a Game Developer at Nordic Digital Film Company, where they designed and developed mobile games, handled project management, and art outsourcing for a client.
Joakim Isaksson obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, which they pursued from 2008 to 2012. Later on, they furthered their education by completing their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Game Design from Aalto University, specializing in this field from 2016 to 2019.
