Oliver Fernihough Amicheme

Oliver Fernihough AMIChemE is a Senior Controls and Instrumentation Engineer at Supercritical since April 2025, bringing extensive experience in chemical engineering. Previously, Oliver served as a Senior Scientist at RFC Power, focusing on the development of redox flow battery technology with unique chemistry from April 2023 to April 2025. At AFC Energy plc, from June 2022 to March 2023, Oliver was responsible for coatings and manufacturing catalyst coatings for membrane electrode assemblies in hydrogen fuel cells, successfully scaling up coating techniques to deliver high-throughput manufacturing. Oliver's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, along with a BEng from Swansea University. Additionally, Oliver held the position of Head Coach for the University Weightlifting Club while also contributing as an Associate Researcher, where innovative work on micropatterned membranes significantly enhanced fuel cell performance.
