Melissa Martinelli has a diverse work experience in the legal field, with a focus on immigration law. Melissa founded and served as the CEO of Superfrau, a company that produces a sustainable and nutritious super drink. Prior to this, they worked as an Immigration Attorney at Martinelli Immigration Law, PC from 2015 to 2019, serving clients in the Greater Boston area. Before that, they operated their own law practice, the Law Office of Melissa K. Martinelli, where they specialized in asylum and refugee law, removal defense, and family-based immigration. Melissa also actively participated in pro bono work, appearing in Immigration Court on behalf of unrepresented individuals and providing legal advice clinics to underserved communities. In addition, they worked as an Immigration Attorney at the Law Office of Dominic E. Capeci and gained legal internship experience at Ross Silverman LLP. Earlier in their career, Melissa served as a Legal Intern at the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project, where they assisted attorneys and provided interpretation services. Melissa also held internships at Harvard University Committee on Human Rights Studies, the Center for Human Rights and Collective Memory in Brazil, and ONG Raices.

Melissa Martinelli pursued their education at Trinity College-Hartford from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Later on, from 2006 to 2009, they attended Suffolk University Law School, specializing in International Law, and earned their Juris Doctor degree.
