Map Artist at Supergiant Games

Kristen Beech has a diverse work experience in the field of animation and game development. Kristen is currently working as a Map Artist at Supergiant Games since 2022.

Prior to this, Kristen worked at Pixar Animation Studios for a significant period. Kristen held multiple roles during their tenure, starting as a Technical Director - Set Dressing in 2009. Over the years, they progressed to become a Set Dressing Lead and eventually a Sets Modeling and Dressing Tools Liaison. In their liaison role, Kristen not only showcased their artistic skills as a set dressing artist but also served as a bridge between the Tools and Sets Modeling/Dressing departments. Kristen actively contributed to identifying tools improvements, prioritizing bug fixes, testing software, and developing new workflows.

Before joining Pixar, Kristen worked as a Set Dressing Supervisor at Quorum Films, LLC for the production of "Borrowed Time" from October 2013 to May 2015. Additionally, they gained experience as a Freelance Lighting Artist at Cinematico in 2008 and as a Contract Lighting Artist at Technicolor Interactive, also in 2008.

From 2004 to 2008, Kristen Beech attended Ringling College of Art and Design. Kristen obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Computer Animation.
