Nikki Smeaton has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Nikki started their career as a Law Clerk at Kelly & Co Lawyers in 2005. Nikki then worked as a Brand Development Consultant at Silver Webs Wines from 2004 to 2006. Nikki joined the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as a Markets Surveillance Analyst in 2008. Later, they moved to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) where they held various roles including Graduate, Markets Analyst/Lawyer, and Financial Markets Capability Development & Strategic Operations Manager. During this time, they worked on projects such as the re-launch of the Sydney Stock Exchange and the launch of ASX Bookbuild. In 2011, Nikki became the Director of International Business Development at OVinti. Nikki then joined ASIC again in 2012 and worked as a Senior Analyst/Lawyer in the Financial Market Infrastructure division. In 2014, they transitioned to Macquarie Group as a Senior Manager in the Risk Management Group, specializing in Conduct Risk Program. From 2016 to 2018, Nikki worked as the Director of the MIntegrity Group. In 2018, they joined Commonwealth Bank as the Senior Manager in Regulatory Relations and later served as the Executive Manager in Regulatory Supervision. In 2020, Nikki joined Superhero as the Chief Compliance Officer.

Nikki Smeaton has a diverse and extensive educational background. In 1999, they enrolled at the University of Adelaide and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Marketing. This program was completed in 2001. Following this, Nikki continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours (LLB (with Hons)) between the years 2001 and 2005.

In 2006, Nikki attended the Law Society of South Australia and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDipLegPrac). In 2010, they pursued a Certificate IV (TAE40110) in Training & Education at MrWed, a registered training organization.

Nikki further enhanced their professional qualifications by pursuing a Master's Degree in Executive Master in Change from INSEAD from 2015 to 2017. Employing a diverse array of skills and knowledge gained from their education, Nikki exemplifies a well-rounded educational background.
