David Francis has extensive experience in human resources, spanning over 18 years. David started their career as a Human Resources Associate at Cornell University, where they were responsible for preparing reports and presentations, assisting with compensation and benefits reviews, and reorganizing personnel files.
David then moved on to various roles at Sysco Corporation, starting as a Procurement Specialist and later becoming a Human Resources Manager. In these positions, they handled purchasing responsibilities and managed security officers, facility maintenance workers, and recruitment and compliance for different departments. David also played a key role in negotiating a new labor contract for drivers and warehouse workers.
After Sysco, David worked as a Human Resources Manager at McLane Company Inc, overseeing all HR activities at the Plymouth business unit. David was responsible for the HR Department's profit and loss, and played a vital role in the company's supply chain services operations.
Following their time at McLane Company Inc, David became a Human Resources Manager at Guardian Industries. David led all HR activities at the Carleton Float Glass facility, focusing on performance management, staffing, training and development, and succession planning.
Most recently, David has been working as the Director of Human Resources at Superior Graphite. In this role, they direct the planning, development, and administration of various HR functions, including benefits, training, recruiting, safety, employee relations, compensation, labor relations, and organizational development.
Throughout their career, David has demonstrated strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and expertise in various HR areas. David has also achieved notable accomplishments, such as implementing best business practices, training associates on anti-trust and ethics, and receiving community service awards.
David Francis completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations with a focus on Business Management at Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations from 1998 to 2002. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Organizational Development and Strategic Leadership at Wayne State University from 2005 to 2007.
