Chris Fernandez has over a decade of experience in human resources and labor relations within California state agencies. Currently serving as Deputy Director of the Human Resources Division for the California State Lottery since June 2017, Chris previously held leadership roles at the State Water Resources Control Board, including Chief of the Human Resources Branch and Labor Relations Officer, from May 2013 to June 2017. Earlier experience includes positions as Labor Relations Specialist and Personnel Management Consultant at the Franchise Tax Board from February 2008 to April 2013. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior from California State University-Sacramento and a Certificate in Labor-Management Relations from the University of California, Davis.
