Nechama Rakow has held various research positions since 2015. In 2016, they were a Graduate Student and Research Assistant at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they established a Drug Screen setup and researched cellular dynamics and molecular regulation of the adaptive immune response in mice, as well as autophagy in health and disease in cell culture and IPSc. In 2015, they were a Research Assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they researched an alternative FACS Method of quantifying liver hepatocytes after partial hepatectomy in mice. In 2020, they were a Research Coordinator at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied the infant gut microbiome in variable aspects, managed recruitment of research participants, sample collection, and organized all agreement forms and questionnaires according to Helsinki and Ethics Committee protocols. Currently, they are a Researcher at SuperMeat and a Laboratory Assistant at MyHeritage.
Nechama Rakow attended the Hadassah Academic College from 2013 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology. Nechama then went on to the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they obtained a Master of Science in Molecular Genetics between 2016 and 2019. Most recently, they graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in 2021 with a Screenwriter Diploma in Playwriting and Screenwriting.
