Wei-Cheng Liao

Wei-Cheng (Fred) Liao is a skilled software engineer with a comprehensive background in firmware development, security testing, and software engineering across various companies. Currently employed at Supermicro since March 2022, Wei-Cheng plays a critical role in developing a firmware flashing tool and designing firmware update architecture for servers. Prior experience includes a position at AMI as a Senior Engineer, where Wei-Cheng integrated security testing tools into the CI/CD process, and a role at Onward Security as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on fuzz testing programs and vulnerability detection. Wei-Cheng's career began with roles at the Institute for Information Industry and other companies, contributing to a diverse set of projects in software engineering and research. Wei-Cheng holds a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Yuan-Ze University and a Bachelor’s degree from Ming Chuan University.
