Timothy Caldwell

Timothy Caldwell is a highly experienced medicinal chemist currently serving as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since August 2025. Previously, Timothy held the position of Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Sage Therapeutics from January 2022 to August 2025, and Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry at the same company. Prior to Sage, Timothy was a Principal Investigator at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals from September 2017 to January 2022, leading multiple projects on kinase inhibitors. Other notable roles include Senior Research Scientist at the Center for World Health and Medicine, Senior Scientist II at AMRI and Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, Research Fellow at Neurogen Corporation, and Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health.
