Josh Defosset has worked in the engineering field since 2004. Josh began their career as a Consulting Engineer at BC Tech, followed by a role as Chief Technical Officer at Smart Products and Inventions. In 2008, they joined Abbott Vascular as a Principal Validation Engineer and a Senior Design Engineer at WAGIC, Inc. In 2009, they moved to Evalve, Inc. as a Senior Validation Engineer and Abbott Vascular Structural Heart as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. In 2016, they became a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Corinth Med Tech and in 2017, they joined Merit Medical Systems, Inc. as a Senior R&D Engineer II. In 2019, they were a Principal Manufacturing Engineer at Boston Scientific and currently holds the role of Principal R&D Engineer at Supira Medical.
Josh Defosset earned their High School Diploma from SCHS in 1989, having studied Calculus and other pre-engineering studies. Josh then attended UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1994. In June of the same year, they were certified as an Engineer In Training (EIT, predecessor to PE) by the California Board of Professional Engineers.
