Joseph Martinez

Joseph Martinez is a seasoned procurement executive with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Chief Procurement Officer at BNY Mellon since March 2019, Joseph previously held key roles including Chief Procurement & Financial Operations Officer at MUFG from February 2016 to March 2019, where oversight included Corporate Real Estate and Procurement Operations. Prior to that, Joseph was the Head of Global Sourcing for APAC at Deutsche Bank and a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, leading global IT sourcing efforts. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Procurement Officer at Wachovia and Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase, where Joseph played a pivotal role in the merger integration of BankOne and JP Morgan Chase. Joseph began a consulting career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, after completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of New Mexico.
