Shanika Small, LL.B (Hons.), has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Shanika began their career in 2015 as a Member Service Representative at Gateway Co-Operative Credit Union, where they served until 2018. In 2019, Shanika joined Jewel grande Montego Bay resort & spa, initially as a Concierge Agent and later as a Concierge Co-ordinator, until 2021. During 2020, they took on a role as a Peer Support Moderator at Supportiv. Currently, Shanika is a Law Student at Norman Manley Law School, commencing in 2021.

Shanika Small, LL.B (Hons.) pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their studies at Montego Bay Community College from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they obtained an Associate's degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies. Building upon this foundation, Shanika then attended the University of Technology, Jamaica from 2017 to 2021, where they earned their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, specializing in Law.

To further enhance their legal knowledge and skills, Shanika is currently enrolled at the Council of Legal Education- Norman Manley Law School, where they are expected to receive their Legal Education Certificate between 2021 and 2023. This certification will pave the way for their to become a qualified legal professional.
