Kannan Malini

Kannan Malini is the current General Counsel, Group Legal and Company Secretary of the Surbana Jurong Group. at Surbana Jurong Private Limited. Kannan was previously with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Asia Pacific from April 2019 to January 2020 as SVP, Asst General Manager Legal & Compliance Asia Pacific Division. Prior to that, they were with Rowsley Ltd from August 2014 to February 2017 as Head, Legal & Secretariat. Kannan has also worked with Allen & Overy from April 2013 to July 2014 as KNOWLEDGE & RISK. Kannan's other experiences include being Deputy Director at JURONG TOWN CORPORATION from January 2006 to March 2007, and Advisor at Unoterra Advisory Services Pte Ltd from July 2012 to December 2012. Kannan Malini has a LLB (Hons) 2nd Upper from National University of Singapore, an MA in South East Asian Studies from National University of Singapore, and an LLM in Corporate & Commercial Law from UCL.
